Why QRS?
With over 24 years experience in providing support to utilities, QRS has a proven history of being both highly accurate and cost effective, as well as having a vested dedication in providing the best in personnel, materials and safety. Reduce cost and time dedicated to finding qualified and experienced personnel with QRS. Whether your project is a Transmission line, Distribution, Power plant, Substation, or other construction project, a QRS inspector will: review the specifications and technical documents for compatibility; identify critical inspection requirements; verify specific attributes during construction activity and assure quality of construction. QRS inspection personnel have the experience to recognize the importance of “exception to the rule” without degrading the quality of the project. Field Engineers perform several functions. Some are utilized on smaller projects as Inspectors in addition to being responsible for field changes. The capability of being able to recognize material or location discrepancies, incorrect design applications and ability to interface between the contractor and owner is an important cost saving attribute and QRS personnel are very experienced in these functions.
A Pole Inspection of new line construction will verify that installation protocols and procedures have been followed correctly and that the pole’s hardware and attachments have been installed as per the As-Built. A GPS location will provide an accurate and pinpoint location of the new construction to ensure that the location is accurately noted in the utilities database.
A pole inspection of an existing line will verify that pole hardware and attachments meet or exceed the specified regulations as set forth by the utility. From a safety standpoint this will in turn provide a much lower likelihood of a safety violation related incident. A GPS location will give an accurate, pinpoint location of the pole and its attached assets.
A pole inventory will verify that existing hardware and attachments are duly noted and cataloged, providing an accurate snapshot of what is actually currently in the field to be included and/or updated into the utilities database.
An accurate Joint-Vendor attachment count will ensure that the utility is being fairly compensated for the use of its pole assets by a third party, as well as verifying that the vendor is within the safety regulations specified for the attachment by the utility.
